What Budget Agent is

Budget Agent ([Your LLC legal name, once formed]) is a categorization and allocation tool. You upload photos or PDFs of receipts; we extract the merchant, date, line items, and total for your review; you decide the category (Need, Want, or Savings) and subcategory it belongs to; we total it up and show you a monthly summary.

Budget Agent is not a financial advisor. Nothing in the Service constitutes individualized financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Estimates such as a debt payoff plan or a projected saving are calculated from the numbers you enter and are not promises. We don't hold your money or make payments on your behalf, and bank connections are not currently offered — if they are ever added they will be optional, read-only, and will not be turned on for you without your explicit consent and an update to these terms. Any recommendation or summary the Service generates is based only on data you've already confirmed — it does not replace advice from a qualified professional.

Accounts

• •One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• •You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and you confirm that when you sign up.
• •You're responsible for the accuracy of the category and subcategory you assign to each purchase — the Service extracts data but never assigns these for you.
• •You may delete your account at any time from Settings (it asks for your password). Deleting it cancels any paid subscription and permanently deletes your receipts, transactions, and budget data.

Plans and billing

Budget Agent offers 4 plans:

• •Free — $0/mo: 15 receipt uploads/mo, one at a time, 50/30/20 & 70/20/10 templates, Debt list with APR & interest cost, Full history & data export.
• •Plus — $7.99/mo: Unlimited uploads, 5 at once, Debt payoff plan (snowball & avalanche), All 7 templates + AI budget builder, 100 AI chat messages/mo.
• •Pro — $12.99/mo: Everything in Plus, unlimited, Upload unlimited receipts at once, Weekly spending projections, Unlimited AI chat.
• •Business — $39.00/mo: Everything in Pro, Projects with budget & timeline, Clients, milestone billing & payment links, Materials, procurement & job costing, Profit per job: costs by category, crew time & your hourly earnings.

Paid plans are billed monthly, in advance, through Stripe, and renew automatically every month at the price shown until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing (or through the billing portal linked there); cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep your plan until then. We'll tell you in advance before changing the price of an existing plan. Prices don't include sales tax where the law requires it to be added. Subscriptions are bought on our website; the mobile apps don't sell them.

Business accounts

The Business plan lets you keep projects, clients, costs, time, invoices and payments for your own work, separately from your personal budget. If you use it:

• •You are responsible for the information you enter about your clients, and for having the right to use it to bill them. It is yours: we process it on your behalf, only to provide the Service to you, and we never sell or share it.
• •Invoices are documents you create. Budget Agent doesn't calculate, collect or report sales tax, and doesn't provide tax, accounting or legal advice — anything you charge as tax is your own entry.
• •Sending an invoice emails it to the client address you saved, from our system, with your email set as the reply-to. You're responsible for only emailing people who expect to hear from you.
• •Labor and crew hours are a record for your own profit figures. The Service doesn't run payroll, withhold tax, or pay anyone.
• •Card payment links for your clients are not yet available. When they are, the client's payment goes to your own Stripe account; we don't hold or route the money, and we'll add terms for you and your clients before turning them on.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• •Upload a receipt or document that isn't your own genuine purchase.
• •Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• •Use the Service to process another person's financial information without their authorization.
• •Attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or other technical restrictions.
• •Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

AI-generated content

Some features (receipt extraction, the monthly recommendation summary, AI chat, and the AI budget builder) use an AI model, and are only switched on once our AI provider's data-protection terms are in place. Until then they run without sending your data to any AI provider. Extracted numbers are always shown to you for confirmation before they're saved — we never post an amount you haven't confirmed. Narrative summaries and chat responses are generated from data already calculated elsewhere in the app and are provided for convenience; verify anything important against your own records.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that receipt extraction will be perfectly accurate, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it is suitable for any particular purpose. You're responsible for reviewing extracted data before relying on it.

Limitation of liability

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect (sooner only if the law requires it). If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account before then; continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept it.

Governing law
